What is HDPE?

HDPE

High-Density Polyethylene or HDPE is a thermoplastic polymer that is made from petroleum. HDPE is one
of the most versatile plastics available, with multiple applications.

HDPE is used to make:

  • Injection-molded shampoo bottles,

  • Blow-molded milk jugs,

  • Extruded cutting boards

  • Utility Pipe

HDPE has a very strong tensile strength, making it perfect for utility pipe. Its corrosion
resistance and high impact resistance makes HDPE pipe the perfect solution for most
construction piping needs. HDPE pipe can be used in pressure and non-pressure applications
and varies through several markets such as mining operations, oil and gas collection, potable
water, storm and drainage, and power and communications conduit. HDPE pipe can come in
stick lengths and can also come on reels for easy transport.
